Caboolture Rail Trail

Versatile Structures was tasked with designing, fabricating, and installing a variety of custom aluminium and Cor-Ten signs as part of the multimillion-dollar Caboolture to Wamuran Rail Trail development.

According to Rail Trails Australia “This is a showcase rail trail that accommodates multiple active transport modalities and represents best practice in the design and delivery of a sealed surface rail trail.” The trail was completed in 2021 and consists of urban trail as well as rural sections close to Brisbane.

Versatile Structures also manufactured and installed the Margaret Street Entry sign, double-sided identification signs, the laser cut distance marker plates on the path and rail trail crossing signs throughout. The signage needed to reflect the architect’s vision and the unique landscape. To ensure the signs last, the customised cast vinyl graphics panels were covered with a satin 60% gloss protective UV resistant clear coat.
