CANTERBURY COLLEGE

Canterbury College is an independent Anglican co-educational Early Learning, Primary and Secondary day school, located in Waterford, an outer suburb of Brisbane, in Queensland, Australia. The school was established in 1987 on 69 hectares.

Happy with the large shaded outdoor project Versatile Structures did for the College previously, they engaged us to manufacture and install a 450 m2 grandstand membrane for their new Olympic-size pool, as well as a 278 m2 shade cover for their smaller pool.

We chose Mehler FR700 Nano for both membranes as the material has a higher fluoride content that reduces the surface energy of the membrane that leads to a greatly improved cleaning process, high UV-protection, a long service life and overall long-term performance.

The project needed to be completed during school holidays to maximise site safety. Versatile Structures managed the steelwork fabrication in-house and with a team of six on site, worked tirelessly over a long weekend to successfully complete the build and install.
